Duct Cleaning in Mableton, GA

Living in a home with dirty air ducts can have a significant impact on both air quality and your family's overall well-being. Over time, dust, allergens, and even mold can accumulate in the ductwork, leading to a circulation of unclean air that contributes to respiratory issues and allergens in the home.

The unseen contaminants that proliferate dirty air ducts can settle on surfaces, exacerbating allergies and triggering asthma attacks, while also causing increased wear and tear on HVAC systems, which can lead to higher energy bills. Keeping the air ducts clean in your home is essential for maintaining a healthy living environment and ensuring that the air you breathe inside your home is as fresh and clean as possible.

Fortunately, working with a trusted duct cleaning company - like American Air LLC - can solve your air quality issues quickly and effectively.

Everything You Need to Know About Duct Cleaning in Mableton, GA

Though many homeowners enjoy tackling DIY projects, air duct cleaning is not a task you should handle on your own. This process is intricate and requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, along with specialized tools to do it right.

It's worth noting that "air duct cleaning" is somewhat of a misnomer; in reality, it's essential to clean the entire HVAC system. If all components aren't addressed, you risk recontaminating the system, which can undermine the benefits of the cleaning. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association strongly advises cleaning the whole HVAC system for the best results. At American Air LLC, our duct cleaning experts follow this guidance and are highly qualified to clean:

  • Air Ducts
  • Drain Pans
  • Coils
  • Air Plenum
  • Grills
  • Registers
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Air Filters
  • Blower Motors and Assemblies
  • Air Cleaners

The most effective way to clean an HVAC system and its ductwork is through a method known as source removal. This involves taking out accumulated dirt and debris and requires the expertise of a professional air duct cleaning company, like American Air LLC.

As the vacuum pulls air through the system, tools like brushes, air whips, and compressed air nozzles are inserted into the ducts to dislodge any stubborn debris clinging to the interior surfaces. Once loosened, the debris is sucked through the ducts into an advanced vacuum system for efficient removal.

Why Should You Have Your Air Ducts Professionally Cleaned?

You don't have to be a graduate from The SAE School near Mableton to know that the air quality in your home is important. One of the key aspects of keeping your air quality pure is keeping your air ducts cleaned.

Just as surfaces in your home gather dust and dirt over time, your air ducts can accumulate pollutants as well. Daily activities generate contaminants like bacteria, pet dander, and mold, which are pulled into your HVAC system and recirculated through the ductwork multiple times a day. This constant circulation can lead to a significant buildup of grime.

To make the situation worse, rodents and insects may invade your ducts, entering through chewed openings or gaps. Once inside, they treat the ductwork like a highway, leaving nests, droppings, and unpleasant odors behind. These waste materials can spread bacteria into your home, ultimately affecting the air quality you breathe.

Dirty air ducts can contribute to many health and home-related issues, including:

  • Mildew and Mold Growth
  • Debris and Dust Accumulation
  • High Energy Bills
  • Reduced HVAC Lifespan
  • Inconsistent Airflow
  • Respiratory and Allergy Issues
  • Unpleasant Odors
  • Pest Infestations

Getting your air ducts cleaned correctly can significantly enhance the quality of the air inside your home, lower the risk of health issues, save on energy costs, and extend the lifespan of your HVAC system.

5 Tips for Improving the Indoor Air Quality of Your Home

Keep these tips in mind to help ensure that your home's air is as pure as possible:

Clean-Your-Home

Clean Your Home

This one may seem like a no-brainer, but it's very important. Regularly dust, vacuum, and mop your home to reduce the buildup of dust, pet dander, and other pollutants. Pay special attention to carpets, upholstery, and drapes where these allergens can accumulate.

Humidity-Check

Keep Humidity in Check

High humidity levels can promote mold and mildew growth, which can negatively impact air quality. Use a dehumidifier in your home to maintain indoor humidity levels between 30-50%.

Invest-Purifiers

Invest in Air Purifiers

Air purifiers can help filter out airborne pollutants, such as dust, pollen, and pet dander. Look for a HEPA air purifier, which is highly effective at removing particles from the air

Harsh-Chemicals

Don't Use Cleaners with Harsh Chemicals

Many household cleaning products contain harsh chemicals that can release harmful fumes into the air. Opt instead for natural or eco-friendly cleaning products to reduce indoor air pollution.

HVAC-System

Keep Your HVAC System Well Maintained

Schedule regular maintenance for your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system to ensure that it is operating efficiently and not circulating pollutants throughout your home.

Air Duct Sanitizing at American Air LLC Explained

The process of sanitizing and deodorizing your air ducts is meticulous and requires qualified, skilled technicians. Here's how we do it at American Air LLC:

  • Deep Clean: Our technicians begin by performing a comprehensive cleaning of your air duct system. Utilizing powerful vacuum equipment and specialized tools, we first work to clear out the ducts, eliminating all physical contaminants.
  • Apply Sanitizing Solution: Next, we use an EPA-registered sanitizer and disinfectant for air ducts, applying it throughout the entire system. This specially formulated product is designed to be safe for HVAC systems while effectively targeting a wide range of bacteria and viruses.
  • Complete Duct Coverage: The sanitizing solution is distributed throughout your ductwork using specialized foggers and various precision application tools. This process ensures that every inch of the interior surface is thoroughly covered. The fogger creates a fine mist that penetrates hard-to-reach areas, while the additional tools allow for targeted application in spaces where typical methods might not be effective.

This comprehensive process is crucial for homes and properties with strict hygiene standards, such as homes with vulnerable inhabitants and even schools. By opting to sanitize and deodorize your ducts, you raise the bar on air quality and safety for everyone in your space.

MABLETON, Ga. — Some voters say it was literally an uphill climb trying to cast their ballot at one polling location in the last election.

Voters in Mableton, Cobb County faced significant challenges during the last election from traffic congestion, limited parking and a steep hill at the Thompson Park Community Center polling location.

Voters said it shouldn’t be this hard to vote.

Channel 2’s Tom Jones reported from Mableton where election officials admit they could have done better.

The difficulties arose from having two precincts vote at the same location, which led to long lines and disruptions.

Cobb Elections acknowledged the issues and stated that higher turnout contributed to the congestion.

“Finding a place to park was the worst,” said Octavia Thompson, a voter who experienced the chaos firsthand.

Cobb County Chairwoman Lisa Cupid noted, “I’m sure this is a disruption for those who’ve had to move around.”

She said she had to stand in long lines like everyone else.

Thompson described the parking situation as a nightmare: “I parked in the park so I have to figure out where I parked exactly, by some playground. I don’t know. I’ll find it eventually.”

Traffic was heavily backed up, and Thompson observed several near-accidents as drivers navigated the crowded area.

Some voters were confused about the location of the polling place, with one voter expressing inconvenience over the steep hill they had to climb to cast their vote.

Lisa Cupid, Cobb County Chairwoman, also experienced the long lines and attributed part of the problem to the consolidation of two precincts at the Thompson Park Community Center.

Cobb Elections attempted to mitigate the situation by sending extra personnel, adding officers to direct traffic, and providing additional voting equipment, but these measures were insufficient to handle the congestion.

Thompson expressed frustration, stating, “This should never happen again. This looks like lack of planning.”

MABLETON, Ga. - When government benefits were delayed by the ongoing shutdown, one Cobb County woman decided to do something about it by feeding her neighbors herself.

What they're saying:

Business owner Cheri Bailey says she knows exactly what it’s like to depend on food assistance. "Born and raised in public housing, we grew up on food stamps. Without food stamps, we probably would not have eaten," Bailey said.

So when she learned that many in her community were struggling to buy groceries, she decided to step up. "I think all of us are waiting for organizations to do something, but I think that each one of us, if we step in and do things like this, nobody will go hungry," Bailey said.

Bailey announced on social media that she planned to cook dinner for 300 people and invited anyone who needed a meal with no questions asked. Denise and Bryan Perry soon offered the Mableton Banquet Hall as the venue.

"I do outreach ministry at my church, so it’s near and dear to my heart," said Denise Perry.

"Knowing a lot of recipients and know how they utilize these funds to take care of themselves, I definitely wanted to help all I could," added Bryan Perry.

The free community dinner was held on Wednesday night, welcoming anyone who stopped by for a hot meal. "We don’t want your email address. This is not for marketing. This is not for hype. This is to feed people. I think it’s time for us to start taking care of each other. And if we do that, then the world will change," Bailey said.

What's next:

Bailey says this was just the beginning. She’s already planning more free community dinners in the coming weeks, adding, "When the system fails, love steps in."

For Cobb County’s newest and largest city, a key step toward creating a civic identity is officially moving forward this week, according to project leaders.

Spread across 12 buildings, a three-story, 304-unit, garden-style apartment project called Mill Grove Vista has closed financing and broken ground at 5178 Floyd Road in Mableton, near the southernmost reaches of Cobb County.

Currently wooded acreage, the development site will become the residential heart of a new Mableton mixed-use district spanning almost 24 acres, with a civic building, townhomes, and retail also in the mix. The city’s goal is to complement the nearby historic Mable House complex and 2,500-seat Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre, situated directly across the street.

Mill Grove Vista marks the latest Class A apartment venture from Vista Residential Partners, an Atlanta-based firm with projects dotted in growth markets across the country.

Plans call for a dozen buildings set among 546 parking spaces, with onsite amenities that include coworking space, a dog park, playground, coffee bar, fitness center, and pool area described as resort-style. Another perk will be immediate access to the Silver Comet Trail's Floyd Road Trailhead near the property entrance and multiple grocery options within a mile, per developers.

Average unit sizes at Mill Grove Vista will be 917 square feet, ranging from one to three-bedroom options.

Voters in 2022 elected to incorporate Mableton as Georgia’s newest city (now behind only Mulberry in Gwinnett County), following a lengthy process of town hall meetings and years of planning.

Other partners in the Mill Grove Vista project include Virtus Real Estate Capital and Nationwide financing. Vista affiliate Apex Multifamily Construction will serve as general contractor.

Vista officials say vertical construction will begin in the first quarter of next year. The first apartments are scheduled to deliver in early 2027, followed by completion in late 2027.

The project will “provide a community which will truly become the focal point of the largest city in Cobb County,” said Scott Henley, CEO of Vista Residential Partners, in an announcement. “From the Silver Comet Trail to daily conveniences on Floyd Road, Mill Grove Vista is designed for how residents actually live—healthy, connected, and close to everything.”
